Friends of East Rock Park is a community and environmental advocacy group.
We encourage neighbors to meet each other, celebrate the environment and
become stewards of the park. We build connections by hosting social events and
work days, and supporting other neighborhood efforts. All our events are free
and open to everyone. Join us!

Year three of FERP's summer youth program has started with a bang! For five weeks this summer, four New Haven high school interns are working under the supervision of our Crew Supervisor Sara and alongside FERP volunteers in East Rock Park, learning about the Park and how it feels to do some seriously tough work! In their first week they spent hours cleaning trash up in College Woods after the 4th of July, covered the entire College Woods Playground with woodchips, planted flowers along East Rock Road, did a serious clean of Colonial Spring, made time for a hike and much more! Come meet our interns each Thursday (and do some work yourself too!) from 5:30-7:30pm at College Woods (Corner of Cold Spring and Orange Streets.)

FERP PHOTO CONTEST
Check out the Photo Contest Winners
Each year FERP hosts a photo contest - anyone can enter, your photo just has to be of something in East Rock Park. Neighbors then vote for their favorite photo using an online survey. Ten winners will have their photos made into holiday card packets that we sell in stores in the neighborhood. Join our email list and make sure to take some good photos before the fall when the photo contest occurs. Interested in purchasing a packet? Email us at: info@friendsofeastrockpark.org.
